We are the data controller for the information we process about you. If you have any questions, write to us.
2. What information we use, and why
When you shop with us
We use your name, your address, email, phone number and your order details to send the item, send the order confirmation and tracking link, and handle returns and complaints about defects. The legal basis is the contract with you (General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Article 6(1)(b)). We must also keep orders and invoices under the Danish Bookkeeping Act (bogføringsloven) (Article 6(1)(c)). Without your name, address and email, we cannot send your order. Your card details are handled by Shopify Payments, and we do not see them.
Customer account and auctions
If you create an account, we store your name, your email and your orders. You must be logged in to bid in an auction, and your bid is sent to us together with your name and your email. The legal basis is the contract with you.
Points and rewards
If you are part of our points programme, Smile.io stores your name, your email and your points on our behalf. The legal basis is the contract with you.
When you write to us
If you write to us by email, via the contact form or on Instagram, we use what you write and your contact details to reply to you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in being able to answer enquiries (Article 6(1)(f)), or the contract, if it concerns a purchase.
When you sell discs to us
We use your name, your contact details, information about the discs, the price and your account number to complete the purchase and record it in our accounts. The legal basis is the contract with you and the Bookkeeping Act.
Newsletter
If you have signed up for the newsletter, we use your email to send it and see whether you open it and click on links. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a)). You can always unsubscribe via the link at the bottom of every email.
Reviews
Once your order has been sent, you may receive an invitation from Trustpilot to review us. For this purpose, we send your name, your email and your order number to Trustpilot. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in getting reviews of our shop.
Cookies, statistics and ads
We use necessary cookies so that the shop works, e.g. basket, login and language selection. With your consent, we also use cookies for statistics and ads: Google Analytics, Google Ads and Meta's pixel (Facebook and Instagram). They show us how the shop is used and help us show ads to people who might be interested. You give and withdraw your consent in the cookie banner and can change your choice at any time.
Protection against spam
Forms on the site are protected by Google reCAPTCHA or hCaptcha, which check that you are not a robot.
3. Who we share information with
We do not sell your information. We only share it with companies that help us run the shop, and only what they need:
- Shopify: webshop, payment, customer accounts and newsletters
- Shipmondo and the carriers PostNord, Bring, GLS and UPS: shipping labels and delivery
- Dinero: accounting
- Google: email, statistics and ads
- Meta: ads on Facebook and Instagram
- Trustpilot: reviews
- Smile.io: points programme
- Anthropic: an AI assistant that helps us answer emails and handle orders
For shipments to Norway, the Norwegian customs authorities receive the information needed for customs clearance. We also provide information to public authorities when required by law.
4. Information outside the EU
Some of the companies, e.g. Shopify, Google, Meta and Anthropic, may process information in countries outside the EU, e.g. the USA and Canada. This only happens on the basis of decisions by the European Commission that the country has an adequate level of protection (e.g. the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Canada), or with the EU's standard contractual clauses.
5. How long we keep the information
- Orders, invoices and purchases of discs: 5 years from the end of the financial year, as required by the Bookkeeping Act.
- Customer account: until you delete it or ask us to delete it.
- Emails and other enquiries: for as long as necessary, and no more than 3 years after our last contact.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
- Cookies: varies from cookie to cookie. This is stated in the cookie banner.
6. Your rights
You have the right to:
- be told what information we hold about you, and get a copy
- have incorrect information corrected
- have information deleted that we no longer need to use or keep
- have the processing restricted
- receive your information in a common format (data portability)
- object to processing based on our legitimate interest, and always to direct marketing
- withdraw your consent. This does not affect what we did before you withdrew it.
Write to kastdiscs@gmail.com. We will reply within one month. We do not make automated decisions about you.
7. Complaints
